The gesture behind segolta
("cluster") is one of the gestures described by the Manuel du Lecteur, and has one of the most obvious correlations between form and function. It represents a descent
from the sustained degree of a major or minor second, then a return to the sustained degree, then a renewed descent
of a major or minor second. Segolta always
follows zarqa, with consistently spectacular
results. |
