Unquestionably, Volume 3 and Cantique des cantiques de Salomon are the best-produced of those recordings directly supervised by Mme. Haïk-Vantoura. This recording compares in variety with Volume 1 and in sensitivity with Volume 2. Indeed, the vocal quality here is even more "historically informed" than that of Volume 2 (vibrant, but without vibrato, following the testimony of early sources regarding the nature of the Levitical chant).

A brief excerpt from this recording has recently been featured in the film The Gospel of John by Visual Bible International (2003). The opening verses of Psalm 121 immediately follow the narrative of Jesus' healing of the cripple at the pool (John 5:19ff).
