The Meitzlers:1st Generation |

The first generation of the Meitzler family described in these pages began in the United States with one man: John Meitzler (b. 1816; d. August 12, 1854). Born in Bavaria, Germany, he came to New Orleans in 1837 on the ship Bolivar sailing from France. His wife was Eliza (maiden name unknown). Six children of John and Eliza are recorded:
There is no known record of Eliza, Mary Caroline or Anna ever having married. No further information is known about them at this time. |
